If you don't have plans to buy any new Windows operated device, and you are thinking to experience the wide spectrum of Windows 8, then here is some necessary stuff for you!
As all other operating systems, the efficiency of Windows 8 will depend on your System's Hardware Configuration, and also on whether the application you use, are compatible with it or not?
Windows se7en, & Vista also released their upgrade advisers after unleashing the OS to common people, this helps user to check whether their configuration matches with the requirement of the OS with just a few clicks! But for Windows 8, their is no such program released by Microsoft Developers. To this question, a member from their team replied as quoted below,
In Windows 8, rather than having Upgrade Advisor, Setup, and Windows Easy Transfer as separate apps or features, we’ve folded them together into one fast and fluid experience in which we first determine if your PC, apps, and devices will work in the new OS, note which things you want to keep (apps, files and/or settings), and then install the new OS.
And for further checking any specific hardware or software compatibility with windows 8, you can follow this link - http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/compatibility/win8
Hope this helps your Windows 8 installation! Happy New Year mates!!
