The Center for Railway Information Service (CRIS) & RailYatri.in together brings you a web-place where you can easily track the location of your desired train. The location of the train is displayed on Google Maps.
This web portal gives you a clear info of how many trains are running at the moment, further characterized by the no. of trains on time & no. of trains delayed.

This web based app can be accessed from both, desktop and mobile phones. The page is refreshed in about every 5 minutes. However, GPS support would have enhanced the relevance of information.
